ANTONIO RIVERA. ONLINE GAMING. http://www.geek.com/
ReplyDeleteThere is a new game called "Super Mario All-Stars Collection" Comming out next month in Japan. Basically the author is telling us that, the game has been around for 25 year's now so they're going to make a NEW SMASH HIT to honor the sucess.
1: Japan have let slip that a new "Super Mario All-Stars collection." 2: The game is being realesed next month in Japan. 3: The reason of the release is to celebrate 25 years of mario being around. 4: The Original All-Stars Mario was made in 1993 by the SNES.
The new game will become a hugh success & make million's.
The reason for the release is to celebrate 25 years of Mario. The original All Stars was released for the SNES back in 1993, and combined Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. 3, and Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels. Graphical enhancements and bug fixes were also included for all games. A later version also saw Super Mario Land added to the collection.
I understood that Mario has been around for a very long time, estimated to 25 years. I also understood if this game could be around this long, many kids will keeep it alive & running.
As a child, i uset to play Super Mario Bro's with my uncle, & friend's. I loved & couldn't resist to play. I feel that many kids will ABSOLUTELY have an extremely exhilerating time playing it.
How do you feel about Mario out of the collection? Have you played this game? If so, tell me what drawn your attention?
Amanda Gomes, Call of Duty: Black Ops multiplayer takes aim at cheaters, looks to recruit more players, http://www.joystiq.com/2010/09/03/call-of-duty-black-ops-multiplayer-takes-aim-at-cheaters/
ReplyDeleteThe author’s point of view is that he thinks it’s surprising that so few people bypass the multiplayer game play on the Call of Duty series. He thinks more people should play online to get the full gaming experience.
Some facts to support the author’s point of view are, "Multiplayer CoD games command three of the four top spots on Xbox Live right now. We're filling stadiums of people every night with players.” The author’s second reason is that “The difficulty level of a single-player campaign game doesn't always prepare players for the multiplayer experience.” Last but not least, you have to put together mechanics in multiplayer that you don't normally have to do."Whether that's throwing back grenades, sprinting or calling in kill streaks bonuses, you'll need to juggle these actions in any round of multiplayer.”
My prediction is that more people will start playing online when the new Call of Duty Black Ops comes out. The reason I came up with this prediction is because the new excellent new game play will entice people to join Xbox live and join the gaming community. In this new Call of Duty game the online play has been modified to appeal to a larger crowd of gamers. The makers of the game created new features to prepare gamers for the online experience and made easier game play available.
I understood that the makers of this new game are trying to attract more people to play online and it states why the online game play of the series has not been as popular in the past. My opinion on this topic is that more people will play the online mode for this game because the makers focused on making it superior to all the games prior. The graphics are also very impressive to serious gamers.
A question that I would ask to the class would be who is planning on playing the new CoD online mode and why?

ReplyDeleteAccording to the authors point of view, the game "kingdom Hearts:Birth By Sleep", is a prequel to the original Kingdom Hearts series. With three different protagonist named Ventus, Aqua, and Terra. With each character the game follows a different story line. This makes the game more injoyable.
The game has similer ground to the original Kingdom Hearts, as you progress in the game it shows a new light on some of the events in the original game. Each character has a different personality. Ventus is a young, engergetic, and well meaning character, while Aqua is a focused, and thoughtful counter part. Both characters are voiced well, but the same can't be said for the character of Terra, his voice is brooding, and can not expression enough emotion.
I think, the game will be a huge success. While, this game tends to repeat. It still holds many new futures as well as a fun story line.
The game kingdom Hearts has been out for a couple of years now. This game is for all ages. Since, Disney is the creator.
The game has some bad points, such as the camera view, and the game tends to repeat it self. It's still a fun and flashy game.
I think this game sound fun! It may have bad points but it's still has a intrestin theam. Along with the original game it still is a light verses dark theam, which has always been an intrestin topic.
if the orginal Kingdom Heats starts off at an island, were does this game start at, and how does it play into the game???

ReplyDeleteThe game “Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars” is coming out on the I-pad. Even though the company “Rockstar” missed their released in June for the game on the I-pad, it seemed it turned out good for them because it will come out on 9/9,which the price for the game on the I-pad will be $9.99. Which sounds cool for them and the players that are playing.
1) The released game date on the I-pad is 9/9. 2) It will cost $9.99. 3) On the I-pad, there’s updated graphics for the game. 4) The game on the I-pad, includes a customizable "Independence Radio".
I predicted it will be a success. Reasons why I think it will be a success is because most players like true life, action, and shooting games and would like to now how it will feel like to live that life. Also, Just like the others grand –theft-auto games in the serious, it’s an experience for all the players to try a different environment.
The game is about players navigating their way through the streets as they uncover the truth behind an epic tale of crime and corruption within the Triad crime syndicate. Some of the other games in the series are San Andres, Liberty city, Liberty city stories, Etc.
I understood that the game could be in way, a life experience that a person or any person can live it to understand the true meaning of the game and its purpose.
Around this time at times I play either one of the grand-theft-auto games to see how it is. The times I played, I noticed that the game was fun, but obviously violent. But at least it will show the enjoyable purpose and not the bad part of the game.
My question would be if you would let your kids play this type of game?

ReplyDeleteIn this game of Kingdom of hearts "Sleep by birth" the author stated by saying that the sell of this video game will be an automatic hit. This is because of the use of adventure and Disney characters. The author is explaining how the video game appealing to any type of age group. The video game will be sold in Japan for the first month or so then it will be sent to the U.S.A. This game will be sold for $39.99.
Kingdom Hearts is an action role-playing game that combines Final Fantasy-style aesthetics with recognizable Disney worlds. With this new game coming out though, you will not need to know the basic plot of the story because of the fact that this story is suppost to take place before Kingdom Hearts one.
This game is the beginning to the whole story and shows different information about the story that no one realizes in the first two games.
In my opinion I think that this game will definitely be an automatic hit. This game is for all ages, many people will enjoy the fact that this game is for anyone and everyone. Also the whole idea that this video game explains about how everything happened in the first part of Kingdom Hearts is interesting because of the fact that the stories are some what out of order keeps you on your toes. The whole story line is a good fun adventure with goofy characters but can also have its suspense and thrilling points.
My question is will all of this adventure come to a close at one point? Or will it be a on going story with no end?

ReplyDeleteWell, if anyone thinks of "E-commerce" thinks "What can I use my credit card on today?"
ReplyDeleteE-commerce is a gateway to millions of different ways to trade goods through the interweb. But how many of Americans --or anyone in the world for that matter-- really have a ONE HUNDERED PERCENT guarantee of where there money is going to, once a transaction is made?
Once the idea of online shopping came about, many were uncomfortable about the security of their personal information going to different sources that shouldn’t have them (THIEVS).
Aside from this fact we still have that human nature to spend money as conveniently as possible. Not only is E-Commerce for that single parent with two kids and no job looking for a fast way to get a buck, it's for many companies and businesses that want to buy and trade their goods with others without human contact. (There's no such thing as cooties)
But how many businesses out there are frauds? A HELL OF A LOT.
So why do we associate ourselves with the "E-Commerce community" risking our personal info?
Because it's human nature.
I have supported this system for about a year now, and I don’t see an end in it for quite some time; be careful when shopping on a new website--you never know where your money might be going--.

ReplyDeleteCassidy Henry, PlaySpan launches game e-commerce and payments platform as a service,http://venturebeat.com/2010/10/01/playspan-launches-game-e-commerce-and-payments-platform-as-a-service/
ReplyDelete1. This new service from PlaySpan is web-based and combines seven features into an exclusivley single service. This new service promises it's costumers that costa will be reduced, revenues will be increased and new features will be offered for users.
2. 1) Salesforge.com was on of the first companies to use this software-as-a- service tren.
2) Features to be inplemented are vurtiual goods store, anti- fraud systems and paymentsystems that work around the world.
3) Costumers will feel safe using the PlaySpan because of the anti-fraud systems which in turn will make large profits and increased revenue.
4) The company is introducing it's "monetization as a service platform. PlaySpan has various technologies, such as providing vurtual currency for games or pre-paid gaming cards. Games are played for free, but real money is needed for virtual goods. PlaySpan wants to minimize the work load for providing services that aren't so much related to the main job of designing games but are very important to making money from it, A 1% increase in conversion of non-costumers means a 25% increase in revenue. At the same time, reducing the rate of credit of card fraud can result in huge profits. PlaySpan has over 160 employees. They have raised $42 million in funding. Some investors are Easton Capital, Menls Ventures Softbank and Novel TMT Ventures 5) From this story, I have learned that there is a possibility of huge profits made by PlaySpan. There are already 6 investors that have invested in PlaySpan.Playspan has more than 1,000 costumers and gains 100 new costumers each week.
6) In my opinion, PlaySpan has made a great decision by doing this. Costumers will be happy and safe with PlaySpan anti-fraud system. It seems like alot of money can be made if PlaySpan follows though with their buisness plan.
7) Should costumers have to pay with real money for virtual goods?

Smart Options Plays on Amazon, EBay And Overstock http://www.forbes.com/2010/10/08/overstock-amazon-ebay-markets-optionsinternet.html?boxes=marketschannelnews
The author takes a look at three internet retailers (Amazon. Com, EBay, and Overstock.com) that provides excellent opportunities. Amazon.com is the default site when it comes to shopping on the internet. EBay says it trades $2,000 worth of goods every second, the firm offers an online forum for selling merchandise worldwide, from fine antiques to the latest video games. Overstock.com allows you to shop a “Persian bazaar” of clothes, house wares, music, and books, in the world of Hoover’s. The online retailer sells discount brand- name merchandise.
EBay’s shares have lagged behind Amazon.com, but the stock has still tackled on roughly 4% since the start of 2010.
The Author’s point of view is to inform the readers, mostly people who are interested in business, about the the competition between three of the websites.
I think in the future, Amazon.com will lead in the shares because it is the primary site for all shoppers, ranging from name-brand products to future products.
I understood that all three sites are proven to generate more buyers and consumers for their products, that’s why the share of the company’s stocks are in competition.
I feel that the competition of Amazon.com, EBay, and Overstock will continue to generate more sales.
My question is this, Which Website Is Better? EBay? Amazon.com?, or Overstock.com?

Panasonic Tries Videogame Comeback
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704696304575537382179163238.html
Panasonic may be able to create to return to make a video game console for the first time in two decades.
They will create a hand-held console called the “Jungle”, it seek to challenge Sony and Nintendo, and also an array of smart phones and tablets that can play games.
Panasonic created the 3DO interactive multiplayer in the early 1990s as a home console but eventually flopped because the console was at $700 and it was considered too expensive.
The “jungle” has a display, touch pad, keyboard, and other gaming controls.
Details about the product would launch and the price f the new machine haven’t been finalized yet.
I think this new hand-held will probably be in the running for best hand-held device on the planet, there are already two (Playstation Portable and Nintendo DS), I think a third hand-held device will fit in.
My opinion is this, will there be any competition once this new console is released. Question is, are we ready for the “jungle”?
World of Warcraft, often referred to as WoW, is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) by Blizzard Entertainment, a subsidiary of Activision Blizzard. It is the fourth released game set in the fantasy Warcraft universe, which was first introduced by Warcraft: Orcs & Humans in 1994. Talisman Online is in the ancient orient, there is a peaceful and serene continent. The people there live and work in peace and contentment. Their families are kept there generation by generation. However, an evil power is preparing to come out behind the peaceful surface. After collecting energy for the past thousand years, the evil power finally became a huge monster that is called Master Blood on Blood Palace. Master Blood began to slaughter human beings and other living things in order to strengthen his power. He enhanced himself by absorbing their souls. At that time, the whole world was full of blood and fear. People became destitute and homeless. The beautiful and peaceful continent became a hell which was full of corpses.
However, the justice must exist where there is depravity. The great rabbi Master Tian Meng, who came from the north, contacted with all the righteous forces to suppress Master Blood and his evil minions who were increasing day by day. This battle had lasted about one hundred days, and the two sides were hurt badly. At last, Master Tian Meng and his four accomplices fought with Master Blood on Blood Mountain. The decisive battle lasted for five days, and Master blood was defeated by Master Tian Meng's witchcraft called Heaven Ice, and was sealed in a block of one-thousand year ice cube. This ice cube was suppressed at the bottom of the deep pool in Green Scarp.
Isabella Krause http://ezinearticles.com/?Is-Exploiting-Video-Game-Glitches-Cheating-Or-Fun?&id=4338734
ReplyDeleteSince the start of video games, cheats have existed in one form or another. Most of the first cheat codes were put in games for testing purposes. Cheats were introduced to help lower the time it would take for a new player to test the game.Cheating has now become a part of a strong gaming culture and books, guides and cheat cartridges are available for almost every platform. Cheating was not always accepted though, and many have spoken out against it over the years. It was often considered that cheating is not part of fairness.
With modern gaming, cheating has become very popular. There are now dozens of magazines and hundreds if not thousands of cheat based websites. In fact, even a television show dedicated to listing cheats has been created!!!There are a few reasons why developers insert cheats into games. One reason is that with such a large cheating culture in modern day gaming, cheats have become expected by gamers. Also, game developers realise that not everyone has the time to finish their games and cheats are therefore inserted to help speed up the process. People such as game reviewers fit into this category and cheats will allow them to experience more of the game. Not to mention that cheating can really increase the replay-ability of a game by adding a new twist.
So why do people cheat? Why speed up the game? we should just slow down and enjoy the gaming fun.

ReplyDeleteThey are going to use an electronic voting machine in elections from now on but they have flaws and they might not give accurate results. some people may also not know how to use them and may end up voting for the wrong person.
Some people dont know to use the machines. senior citizens are not familiar with electronic devices. the machines have flaws. Hackers might hack into the voting system and change the results.
i think there will be problems will the online voting because it is complicated. i understood that evoting isnt as easy at it seems. i think normal voting would be better for everyone and easier. do you think evoting is better than normal voting?
STEPHANIE OCAMPO, “is E-Voting safe?”
ReplyDeleteAuthor puts a really debatable question out there about e-voting. Is it as safe as it claims to be?
He mentions how many voters are wondering if they should be worried about the coming election. Most experts agree that it's highly unlikely a hacker could walk into a polling place and throw an election. But the electronic nature of the new voting machines, combined with their lack of a physical audit trail for each vote, leaves a hole that crooks with inside access could exploit. [1] It is very easy for hackers to corrupt the system and change votes. [2] touch-screen systems can reduce several common mistakes voters make in the booth. [3] More security needs to take place in the voting rooms. [4] E-voting has proved to fail more the success.
I think in the future E-voting will be more successful and safe.
I understood that E-voting could be both good and bad. But if we work hard at it as a whole society we can make it succeed.
My opinion is technology is only going to keep progressing so might as well cooperate.
Will E-voting be accepted by the end of 2010?
1.Julie Selesky, Voting Out E-Voting Machines, http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,1680451,00.html
ReplyDelete2. Electronic voting was embraced as the way back from America's electoral humiliation. Some 50,000 touch-screen machines were bought in 37 states at a cost of almost a quarter of a billion dollars. Fifteen Florida counties adopted touch-screen as well, and they learned the pitfalls of it the hard way, dealing with controversies like a 2006 congressional race in the Sarasota district, where an astonishing 15% of the ballots cast registered no choice at all, in a race that was decided by a razor-thin margin of 386 votes. As a result, Florida Republican Governor Charlie Crist moved immediately after his January inauguration to scrap e-voter machines and return the state to paper by 2008, to what he and most voter-rights advocates call the more trustworthy optical scan system. One of Nelson's consultants, Florida Secretary of State Kurt Browning, who oversees the state's elections, was himself an advocate of touch-screen voting as the elections supervisor of the county that includes Tampa. Others point out, however, that the rest of the country may not feel the urgency that Florida, given its 2000 experience, feels with regard to election reform. Critics also politely suggest that Florida, considering its reputation for election mishaps, may not exactly be the model to follow in these things. But Floridians will just as readily suggest that their struggle to get it right makes them experts of sorts. Either way, whether or not the Nelson-Whitehouse bill passes, it looks as though Florida is leading the way back to the paper age.

As e-voting comes of age, security fears mount
http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5hULcUKL4awhRIhz5DDje7RfNdVag?docId=CNG.b65806da7bbb6d7e246bb910ba835d30.801
The securities of the systems are feared after new technologies allowing the people via the internet or other electronic devices.
A total of 33 states are allowing email, fax, or online ballots this year. These systems can potentially increase voter participation but security remains a question mark. The startling security breach came in September, when a pilot internet vote system for the city of Washington, D.C., was put online to the test. A team of computer students at the University of Michigan had trouble infiltrating the city.
This new form of e-voting will cause a major security risk for the privacy of the voters.
I understand from the story that security is an issue with this new technology whether online or any device, the attacks have succeeded the weaknesses of the system.
My opinion is that e-voting is new way of voting, but preferably the standard for of voting is necessary to do.
My question is this: “Could E-Voting be able to overcome the current technology of voting?”

ReplyDeleteE-voting glitches delay results in Valley communities,http://www.ottawacitizen.com/news/voting+glitches+delay+results+Valley+communities/3727469/story.html
Summary: In Ottawa there was some glitches on the voting machines. they were dealing the the voting slips and they had to move the date.In arnprior the electronics machines crashed so they had to move the dates too.But in other parts of the valley they worked fine, they got to vote and people won !!!!!
4 facts: 1. people in ottawa did have glitches on there electronical machines.
2.In Arnprior, the count will officially start 24 hours late — at 8 p.m. Tuesday — because a late rush of voters crashed the electronic voting system.3.in pther parts of the valley got there slots in on time. and last 4.John Levi beat two opponents to win the mayor's race in Mississippi Mills, after voting had to be extended for an hour because of electronic glitches. Again, the problem was a late rush that overloaded the systems.
Background: with this story i think E-Voting will not be trusted.
Opinion: I think they can take out the electronic machines because people lose there time and there votes can be lost when the machines gets damaged.
Question: If they will improve the E-voting what will they improve to make it better?
1. Karla Madrigal, "What is e-voting?" http://aceproject.org/ace-en/focus/e-voting/what-is-e-voting
ReplyDelete2. It's a easier and a more convinient way to vote. It's short for "electronic voting". A DRE is used to vote, it's a machine that is a touch screen or a scanner. Or voting that can be submitted through other devices like in a phone or laptop and sent to a datebase that keeps track of the votes. It replaces old school polling systems. Remote e-voting is more challenging than polling e-voting because it's not inside a controllable area.
3. E-voting is short for electronic voting.
DRE stands for Direct electronic recording.
Polling place e-voting refrences a system where voters cast their vote in a premisis controlled area.
Remote e-voting refrences where voting takes place anywhere outside a controlled area.
4. E-voting will still be continued to be used.
5. Before e-voting people used to paper and pens to check next to whatever they voted for.
6. E-voting is evolving.
7. I think it's a convinient invention.
8. What's after e-voting?

ReplyDeleteYAY, a faster more "accurate" way to vote! E-VOTING!!!! (Electronic Voting)
But why the change? Why change the hassle of paper cuts while counting the ballots?
This change was defiantly for the greater good.
Well (at the time) I was too young to know how the voting system worked before technology, but I’m sure it was a speed big bump in a rocky road to count them. So with this easier way of "electronic voting," it's suppose to make those lonely lines go by quicker so you don't have to bare that awful stench of the guys armpit sweat standing in front of you. (Some D.O for that B.O. can go a LONG way!)
OH! But there are other ways to pick favorites for our office, such as voting through your PDA...but really, SMART PHONES =D
And of course I have to support this "fixed order," because if you don't put a VOTE in then you're VOTED out (AKA In trouble with the Government).

ReplyDelete1.Voting has been changed over the years. Today, some people prefer to vote via email message.
a) More than 20,000 people have voted though email. Researchers have survey and came to a conclusion that in the next two weeks the number will raise to 250,000.
b) A person no longer has to wait in line to vote for the governor, ect... , they can simply do it on line
c) This is a good change because of the mothers who stay at home; they now have a way that they can vote.
d) This will also help because of cost.
2. I believe that if this trend of mail messages carry on, eventually everyone will be drawn to vote online, for money and time sake.
3. Snipes and Bucher said they’ve been able to reduce the cost of Election Day. Many people are using other methods, but not nearly enough to offset the cost of early voting and mail balloting.
4. I understand that more and more people are using the internet to vote create a big advantage for them. They no longer have to wait in lines and waste their time.
5. I think this is a good idea because it helps people save time and money.
6. Do you believe this is a good idea yes or no? Why or why not?

ReplyDeletePeople are going to start using electronic machines to vote. But it has a lot of
Problems with them, like for example when the person goes and votes the vote
Might not be accurate and it can have technical difficulties, and it can also be hacked and people can change the outcome of the elections. The authors point of view is to show people the risks in E-voting. I believe that if people start using e-voting someone will hack and mess up the elections.
